About "LOVE & SHAMS" Lp:
In 1998 Faber J. Rheder became Ayoub after traveling for a long time between Morocco and Europe. He began to change his style of music and composed dozens of new songs with a strong Maghrebi influence. Five years of production lead to the release of the CD "Love & Shams" (2003), a Chill-House album that fuses Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Drum n'Bass, Jungle and Raï music in an Arab / World Music style and that surprises for its authenticity thanks to collaborations with about fifteen artist-friends, Karim Arisi (lead vocal), Nabil (lead and backing vocals), Lymam (lead vocal), Lemnaouer Ahmine (derbouka, bendir, karkabou), Adel Chkirate (translation), Hassan (translation) Bully Wahab Galal Abdel (styling) Kristoff Dezissert (Photograph).
“Love & Shams is a clear example of Mediterranean fusion. The influence of Arab music, the result of its intense ties with Morocco, are very present in this chill-out style album where we can find songs performed in Arabic, French and English ”(Plaers, Avui 2007).
“A creation with strong Maghreb roots, warm and evocative that transports us to the desert sunset with its fascinating and reddish sunsets” (GB 2011) Ayoub's message is to open up to the world, to open up to love because "We’re all rays of sun".
